The 2009/2010 Season is
winding down and it was very successful. We had a lot of good
speakers, a good turnout for the McBride Picnic and the Maritime
Cruise on the CQ Princess. June is field trip month and on the
21st
we will be visiting the Portland Museum. Founded in 1978 by
school teachers it has grown from a classroom to an antebellum
country estate. A great way to explore Louisville’s river
heritage. It is located at 2308 Portland Ave. We are enjoying
special hours starting at 5:30. There will be a shuttle leaving
K of C at 5:00pm, for those not wishing to drive. Steaks will be
on the menu at K of C after the trip. I have enjoyed serving as
president this past season and I pass the reins to Jack Reiz.
I know he will serve us well next year. Have a great summer.
